Environmental Lobby Day

Welcome, advocates! The 2025 Legislative Session is right around the corner! It begins on January 13, 2025, and lasts for 105 days. With your help, we can make the environment and environmental justice a top priority with our elected representatives in Olympia this year.

Environmental Lobby Day is hosted by a statewide coalition of environmental, conservation, and environmental justice organizations, including the Environmental Priorities Coalition (EPC), 27 organizations working to advance environmental progress through policy and budget advocacy in the Washington State Legislature. In 2025, the EPC’s priorities are: Protect Advanced Clean Trucks and Climate Progress, Invest in Climate Action, Sewage Spill Right-to-Know, and the The Recycling Reform Act.

Join us for Environmental Lobby Day 2025, on Thursday, February 6th in-person in Olympia.  Learn how you can take action! Sign up below to team up with other activists. Learn how to speak up for environmental health and justice. Gain the skills to be a persuasive constituent.

Starting in January, we will offer online issue briefings, “how to lobby” workshops, and prepare for meetings with elected officials in advance. On Environmental Lobby Day, you’ll meet with your elected officials and have opportunities to attend trainings and workshops, artful activism, and chances to connect with other advocates.

Timeline:

  • Learn about lobbying your legislators and policy overviews at our virtual trainings on January 28th at 6:00 p.m. Registration link will arrive in your confirmation email

  • Practice with your constituent groups

  • Meet with legislators on February 6th (times will depend on availability)

This event is free, but requires registration. Registration closes Friday, January 31st at 5 p.m. Please reach out to Kat at kat@waconservationaction.org with any questions. Thank you for signing up to advocate for a brighter future for Washington!
